Dr. John Barden is a Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies at the University of Regina. Dr. Barden received his Ph.D. in Medicine (Surgery) from the University of Alberta in 2005. Dr. Barden’s research interests include body-fixed sensor analysis of human movement for sport and health applications (e.g., performance analysis in swimming and gait variability analysis in older adults). Dr. Barden is a former competitive swimmer and coach and served for 10 years on the Board of Directors for Swim Saskatchewan as the Director of High Performance.
