Alison Friesen, BSc, RD is a Registered Dietitian-Nutrition consultant from Saskatoon working in the areas of sport, fertility, women’s health and disordered eating. She also is a ‘retired’ athlete herself, drawing on her experiences as an athlete who struggled with disordered eating to support patients/clients with achieving their goals and supporting them in their journey with health and food. Alison is a consultant for the Sport Medicine & Science Council of Saskatchewan alongside being a business owner of Alison Friesen Nutrition. She works with a large range of athletes and clients, including Para-Olympic athletes, professional athletes in the NHL, WHL, provincial teams, varsity athletes and young developing youth athletes. Alison is a member of the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association (SDA) and Dietitians of Canada (DC). She is also a member of the DC Consulting Dietitians Network, Professionals in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport (PINES), DC Sports Nutrition Network, SWADE and the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD).
